StriVectin-SD: Is It More Than A Stretch Mark Cream?
Typically, I just ignore those mass e-mails that come my way, even from companies I do business with. But, somehow I took notice when drugstore.com sent an e-mail about Klein-Becker's StriVectin-SD Intensive Repair for Existing Stretch Marks and how the company found it worked effectively as an anti-aging face cream. That was about 5 weeks ago. Let me tell you the bad news first. My wrinkles have not totally disappeared and I don't look 20 years younger. Now a little good news. I do think that some of the wrinkles around my eyes and forehead as well as the vertical lines running from my nose to my forehead are diminishing little by little. Application might bother some as the cream is thick and you really need to massage it into the skin. (A little goes a reasonably long way.) Personally, I don't find the application to be a big deal. Klein-Becker's literature also indicates that the product is much gentler than certain other anti-aging products and I think they are right. I have found no skin irritation and, in my case, no increase in blackheads, whiteheads or breakouts (of which I get very few). One of the other benefits that I have noticed is that my skin seemed to be softer after using the product only a short period of time.
Now as to cost. It is on the expensive side. I have found prices on the web from $86.00 to $135.00. ( I'm always a little cautious about the integrity of a product being sold at a deeply discounted price at an e-commerce site I know nothing about, but that's a personal matter.) However, from my point of view, even at $135 the price is not outrageous if it works. When you begin to add up the other products you use to accomplish anti-aging goals, it can become a costly proposition. Along with the StriVectin, I have continued to use a hydroxy acid masque twice a week, and, of course, sunscreen daily.
